(the) serpent and (the) bird is a song I wrote in 2009 after spending a day in the library of the C.G. Jung Society of Sarasota. It is directly inspired by The Red Book. Years later, my sweet friend Aubrey Bramble and mother, Kat Malinsky, bought me a copy of the book. I refer to it often as it sits prominently on my desk. Today I remembered this song, always in my heart, but also somewhere out there in the internet realm. Cheers to the past and the loving gifts of friends.
